In 2018, an Industrial Distribution Company embarked on a journey to empower their sales team with comprehensive margin management skills. In January 2023, the company sought to refresh this pivotal training series to further align with the evolving business landscape and their strategic goals.
Goals and Approach
The project was aimed at two primary objectives: revamping the existing training modules to reflect the latest in margin management and pricing strategies, and reinforcing the critical role of margin management in sales success. This dual focus aimed to promote sustained margin growth and bolster sales performance.
Design and Execution
The training series encompassed pre-and post-tests to gauge learning impact, nineteen meticulously crafted modules, and an optional certification for those aiming to excel. This holistic design ensured a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, tailored to real-world sales scenarios.
Impact Assessment
A strong evaluation process was put in place to measure the effectiveness of the training. This involved correlating module completion with sales objectives and analyzing test outcomes to refine the training further. The certification process served as a capstone, challenging participants to apply their knowledge practically.
